Evadense (formerly Bonez, and DVS) is a Virginia based award winning songwriter, producer, emcee & performer, and host of "THE STUDY" Podcast ( => https://tinyurl.com/22xezayd <=)
Born in Cochabamba, Bolivia and raised in northern Virginia's Richmond Highway community, Evadense grew up a fan of music and culture. At age 17 he began to translate his love of art & culture into rap lyrics that eventually became music, albums & mixtapes.
His 4th and most recent solo album, "Beyond the Shadow, Beyond a Doubt", is a collection of songs about life. loss, growth, fatherhood, and gratitude. His previous works include the albums "Shadow of a Doubt" (2020), "Long Dark Night" (2012), "One Man Army" (2005), and the mixtape "Back-II-School" (2016).
Evadense is also the host & founder of "The Study" Podcast, an exploration of culture rooted in gratitude and love of community that includes a "Storytellers Series" where he interviews guests who share their stories, experiences and perspectives in a long form dialogue.
Evadense was featured as a special guest performer at the Centennial celebration for Jacque Fresco of The Venus Project in March of 2016 (at the Harborside Event Center in Fort Myers, FL) for his single titled "A Better Place". This song, and his single titled "The Choice Is Ours" (after the documentary of the same name) were inspired by the work of Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows, founders of The Venus Project, and have been viewed nearly 100,000 times on YouTube and Facebook.
Since 2005, Evadense has produced Hip-Hop music that reflects life & culture rather than material gain & misconstrued masculinity, as rap music is often & unfortunately associated with. Evadense (formerly Bonez, and DVS) has won several awards from the Songwriters Association of Washington, along with an honorable mention from Poetry.com, and performed all across Virginia, Washingdon D.C. and Maryland - aka "The DMV".
